Frequently Asked Questions…
Hopefully some of your questions will be answered below, but if not, do get in touch with anything you are unsure about.
Moreton Hall Runners have several sessions throughout the week as per the following:
Mondays 6.30pm
Tuesdays 6.30pm
Wednesdays 9.15am & 6.30pm
Thursdays 6.30pm
We also have a weekend social run where we meet at a location, run varying distances and then meet after for coffee and cake
Where we meet depends on the session, the weather and the time of year, but all locations are on the Moreton Hall estate.
The locations we use at the moment are Skyliner Way, Ten Acre Field and the bottom of the hill on Mount Road. Locations and session plan is messaged out to all members on the day and also on social media.
Yes, yes and yes!! Our sessions are all tailored to allow all abilities to run together without any feeling of being the slowest or the fastest. Starting blocks are spaced out so that we all finish together.
This club is for anyone and everyone. Take it at your own pace and push yourself to your limits.
There are many benefits to joining a running club. Firstly, the sessions are created to get results. We don’t just set you off on a 5 mile run and see you at the end. They are specifically designed to focus on intervals, hills and sprints that you probably wouldn’t do without that push.
Secondly, it’s great motivation to get out during the week and see a group of like-minded people. Sometimes it’s easy to say “I’ll go out tomorrow” but if you’ve committed to a running club then you’re less likely to keep pushing it back.
Thirdly, it’s being part of a community. You no longer run ‘on your own’, you are part of a team who support and motivate you throughout.
