“I joined MHR in February of this year having not done any running since my school days (a long time ago!).

Since then I’ve done several 10k’s and a half marathon and I have signed up for another half (Cambridge) as well as full (Norfolk Coastal) marathon next year as it’s made me catch the running bug.

The group are an amazing bunch and it’s such an inclusive and encouraging club to be a part of as it genuinely doesn’t matter what your ability is – everyone starts and finishes together.

Joe, Neil and Katie really do a brilliant job of motivating you to improve, whether that’s tackling hills, pacing or getting you involved in events outside of the club.

I’ve ran along Skyliner with sleet coming in sideways and around 10 acre field in the blistering heat, no matter what the weather you always feel great afterwards even if you question your life choices when it gets tough at times.

“I dabbled in running a little bit before joined MHR, had taken part in a couple of races here and there but nothing consistent and I was a member of the gym.

Since joining MHR that has all changed, when you are around other people that enjoy running it all becomes so much more enjoyable and bizarrely easier.
